  1. I’ve been looking for a remote control for my JVC HR-S3600U S-VHS player.

    The exact replacement remote model number is the LP 20303-009 (which was apparently supplied with the following models: HR-S3600, HR-S3600U, HR-S4600, HR-S4600U, HR-VP674, HR-VP674U, HR-VP675, HR-VP675U, HR-VP676, HR-VP676U, HR-VP770, HR-VP770U, SR-TS1U.)

I’ve had good luck in the past with getting remotes to work from different units within a brand. For example, for the Panasonic AG 1980 S-VHS player, I found that a Panasonic remote LSSQ0263-2 works (a remote originally supplied with some run of the mill Panasonic VHS players).

I found a JVC remote that looked pretty close, the LP 20034-013, but no go. Perhaps the remote has to at least be at least one with the MBR designation on it (multi-brand remote, that is, one that will control a T.V. cable box, etc).

I’m assuming that any of the LP 20303 remotes (regardless of sub-number) will work, but perhaps this is a false assumption too.

I’ve also had no luck getting a Sony universal remote to work with my HR-S3600U.

Any tips or shared knowledge would be appreciated.

    My 3800 has a LP20303-015
    My 7965 (PAL) has a LP20878-016
    My 9800 has a LP20465-007
I don't know where my SR-V10U remote went.

Anyway, these all work on each other 100%
I randomly pick up any JVC remote to use.

This is actually a bit of a pain in the butt, too, because one remote will basically light up the whole room and change ALL the VCRs in range.

  3. Hey, You might want to see if you can find a replacement/original from sites that sell just that. I found a couple while searching google that may be useful:

    I hope that helps
