    i have a set of video files that are xvid and i was wondering how i can burn them to play on a standalone dvd player that does not support divx or xvid, i currently have nero 7 ultra edition, thanks,( refernece to free programs too would be better)

    You can use NeroVision, if you are not overly concerned with quality.
    On the free list you could try AVI2DVD, DIKO, or DivxtoDVD. ConvertXtoDVD is not free, but is reliable and reasonable in quality.

    Don't expect miracles though.
