Will Windows Media Encoder rip clips from copy protected dvd?

Will Windows Media Encoder (series 9) rip clips from copy protected dvd? I want only like a 5 min clip from a dvd box set of a tv show. I liked how pocket pc trial verison worked on my old windows xp before we had dvd burner problems. Will this software or anything like this at all and lets me get the dvd (only a clip) into wmv file for me to use in Windows movie maker and Adobe Premiere elemnts 3?

No. I would use dvd shrink in reauthor mode and cut out out a vob clip and then convert the vob to mpg using vob2mpg and import it in wmm.

If content is copy protected, no it won't, however it will (if copy protected) if you are running AnyDVD or similar copy protection removal software.
