Is there a way to clean off Memorex felt without harming the Disc? Perhaps Alcohol?

A little dab of 'Isopropyl alcohol' i.e cassette head cleaner fluid does the trick for me.

Drugstore variety isopropyl alcohol (Rubbing alcohol) works fine. Make sure you get the plain version, no additives. There may be some residue remaining on the disc of the permanent marker that has soaked in a little, but isopropyl won't harm any disc I have tried it on. The 99% works best. (Less water added)
