Bad video quality after encoding flv. to mp4

I downloaded this flv. video file from youtube and when I tried to encode it to mp4 by Xilisof, the video did not come as good as the original flv. file. The video was running unsmoothly and the music did not match with the video.
I tried to change the bitrate and all that stuff but did not make any difference.
Hope that you guys can help me. thanx a bunch

Typcially flv files are not very good quality to begin, conversion will just make it worse, although in this case, it sounds like an encoding issue. Try a different tool maybe or take a look in the HOW TO - CONVERT section.
