Joining multiple DVD's and keeping multiple audio and subtitle tracks

I have a film split over two DVD's and have managed to join it all onto one disk, but not giving me the result I want.

I have used TMPEGEnc DVD Author and that kinda works fine, with the film running seamless where the two parts are joined. However, TMPEGEnc DVD Author strips away the subtitles and only allows me to select one of the audio tracks. I would like to keep all the subs and audio/languages.

I have used the other method with DVD shrink, by loading in both DVD's and dragging the main "Titles" across. On the final disk, the first title plays until completed and then title 2 plays, as it should. However, when title 2 starts, I lose the selected audio + subs and I have to reselect them. Also, the chapters start at zero again.

Is there a way I can join a split film as one disk and, whilst playing, retain the selected audio + subs?

BTW - I am not interested in menus for this project.

Maybe you could fix the dvd shrinked dvd playback with pgcedit, maybe not the chapter problems though.

And have you tried join with dvdremake pro?

I've tried with DVDRemake Pro but no luck, unless I'm doing it wrong.

What I am trying to do is to join two titles as one, keeping the audio and subtitle tracks. TMPGEnc DVD Author can join two titles as one, but discards all subtitles and only allows you to select one audio/language.

Joining the video + audio streams should be no problem (just demux everything with pgcdemux and use mpeg2schnitt or cuttermaran to join the m2v + ac3 files into one m2v video and one ac3 for each audio track). Remaining problem are the subs and chapters. I think for the chapters it is quite easy to calculate the new timecodes for the second part of the movie yourself. For the sup subtitles, I think the new version of SubtitleCreator can retime them (use the SUP manipulation tools). To put everything together again, use MuxMan
