    Is MPEG-2 Playback Component still required for VOB to iPod h.264 640w conversion?

    If so, does the component come with QuickTime Pro for Mac or is it an add on for each version of QT?

    Not required if you de-select Decode with Quicktime.

    It is a separately sold component (MPEG-2 Playback Frequently Asked Questions, question 1).
