Sony stopped producing dvcam tapes?

I'm trying to source large DVCam tapes for my Sony DSR200A and no one local can get them for me. So I went to my local news office to see if they can order some for me because they use the same camera's and they told me that as of last week Sony stopped production of them and sony themselves only had 1 box of tapes left.. so they were freaking out because they dont know what they are going to do either.
I guess I'll have to either sell my camera and try to find a good quality mini dv cam or try to see if I can get some maxell tapes.

edit: nevermind they just stopped producing the tapes with the memory chip.. the news channel just called me to let me know! which is good news because I am looking for chipless tapes anyways!

They still make them. But they changed them during 2006.
