I enjoy using anydvd, but I refuse to pay 50.00 for it. Anything out there that is shareware/freeware that can do the same things that Anydvd can do? Thanks

It depends on what you are doing. If it's backing up DVDs, RipIt4Me or DVDFab Decrypter will remove the encryption. From there I use DVD Shrink and ImgBurn to burn to a new backup disc. These are all freeware.
There is also DVD43 which does similar to AnyDVD and it's also freeware.
redwudz, I using dvdfab to backup my dvd of The night listener.
I reads it fine, then when I open Shrink, it crashes at the end of the movie when it does the final read. Not sure why...
You might want to try RipIt4Me. It is more advanced than the simple DVDFab Decrypter and may work the best with some newer DVDs. It also integrates with Shrink. Even with DVD Fab, you want to have the latest version installed.
i tried ripit4me and I am not sure how to use it for my purpose.
any tips onto showing me what I need to click, select ect...?? Thanks
