Downloaded movies play fine when playing back on computer, not out of sync at all,but when I burn them to dvd, audio gradually goes out of sync getting more and more out as the movie gets near the end.
Im using win dvd creater, when adding the file to the program a message comes up saying video was recorded with variable bitrate video and may cause audio sync problems.
I know this is a common problem with capturing, but there is no sync problems when played back on comp, could this be a problem with win dvd?
Also I have no sync problems when I capture video from vhs, only with these movie down loads.
Sort of new to this, greatly appreciate any help.

variable bitrate audio. Just full process the audio in VirtualDubMOD to PCM and set the video to direct stream copy. Save the AVI. Take that file to your encoder and it should be fine.

That's streams - stream list - right click the audio - Full processing.
    Video - Direct Stream Copy
    File - Save AVI

    Good luck.

What Scorpion King said. And you can check them before converting with Gspot 2.60, though apparently WinDVD warned you. In Gspot look to the audio section on the lower left to see if the VBR window is lit, instead of CBR. This is a common problem with AVI type files and will cause sync problems if they are converted to MPEG in that form.

    And welcome to our forums.

I tried this solution on a mpeg-1 file opened from a .bin file. That file is out of sync (mpeg-1).

When I try to process the video as direct stream, I get an error message that says something about the file type doesn't support direct stream. Does anybody have a solution to this problem?
