I've just started using ffmpegx on my Mac Mini core duo. I'm pretty sure that ffmpegx is using a recent stable version of XviD, such as 1.1.2. However, for several months now there has been a very stable version of 1.2 that includes SMP support. Does anyone know if:

    1) is there a pre-built binary for OS X on Intel?
    2) if there is (or one is compiled), would it work with ffmpegx?
    3) where is the XviD binary currently located when ffmpegx is installed?

    Thanks

Just an update that I see that the latest ffmpegx is using version 1.2 of XviD, from the log file:

xvid: using library version 1.2.-127 (build xvid-1.2.0-dev)

The question I have now, if anyone knows, is where do I set the number of processors (cores). The default is 0, which means one core.
