How many dedicated hard drives do you have for video capture/editing?

So how many hard drives on your computer are dedicated to video capture and/or editing?

I have one 80gb harddrive that has my os and my main program files on it. I use a second 160gb for strictly video captures. It's usually adequate for me as long as I don't record too many movies during a week and I burn a few dvds every few days to free up space.

I use the standalone DVD recorder most of the time nowadays, using the computer to edit and author the MPEG2 files to final DVD's

I don't capture on the computer (too slow process). I record with standalone dvd recorder and I cut commercials and reauthor with PC.

So I choose the 1st option.

How many unfinished DVD projects do you have? I have only 666GB of storage (thus the "Mark of the Beast" machine name), so I am "encouraged" to complete the projects before I start others due to lack of space. Right now, I have only ten projects in progress.

All that changes over time is MB hard drives become GB hard drives and now become TB hard drives.

I just have the one hard drive (100+ GB) with the os and everything else on it that I also use for video captures. I know everybody says you're supposed to have a dedicated hard drive for videos, but I've never had any problems. Of course, I usually only work on one project at a time and delete everything after I'm done.

Boot drive 120g, 300gx2 sata, and 160g usb for total 880g. I capture movies from vhs, satellite, and ld with standalone, and edit, author, burn on computer, not much space needed, likewise for backups. Custom projects are captured to disc from 3 digital cameras using LOTS of space for editing, encoding, re-editing, re-encoding, authoring, starting over, etc, etc, etc.
I just completed a concert video 90+ minutes using three camera angles edited on ulead mediastudio pro 7. Space got tight.

Gives 1.280 Tb for the PCs.
