  1. Is there different AAC types?
    that need different codecs?

    Or is it only one?

What is SBR+PS and so on?

There are many types of AAC - AAC-LC, HE-AAC, HE-AACv2....

    AAC-LC with SBR = HE-AAC
    AAC-LC with SBR and PS = HE-AACv2

(SBR - spectral band replication, PS - Parametric stereo) better coding efficiency...

Nero codec should handle all types...

Use Mediainfo to find out which type of AAC you have..., I'm guessing it only supports AAC-LC. Try creating a AAC (.m4a) file in itunes and try playing it..

Is there any good prog. that can convert AAC to AC3?

    The player support AC3..
Now i'm converting the AAC's to Mp3, and it takes a very long time. DbpowerAMP and lameXP does not work.. so now i'm converting to *.wav with flaad and then i use Audacity to convert to *.mp3..
