THANKS TO WAHEED FOR THIS POLL IDEA:

    http://forum.videohelp.com/viewtopic...281798#1281798

How many speakers do you have on your PC?

    Headphones only
    Standard 2 Speakers
    2.1
    4.1
    5.1
    6.1
    7.1
    more than 7.
None - no speakers attached - except for the computer speaker - the beep type.

I have a LOGITECH 5.1 speaker system but it's not currently hooked up. I am using a 2.1 system currently. I used the 5.1 for another project but never got around to rehooking it to my desktop.

The majority of the time just the stereo speakers. The sound card has coax out so sometimes I hook it up to the home theater and listen to music on the 5.1.

    5.1 via S/PDIF to receiver-amp
    2 speakers in LCD monitor
2 TV speakers monitoring IEEE-1394 output through ADVC-100 (DV to analog transcode)

I guess that totals to 10 speakers.

I guess you should pick the configuration you use most often for the poll choice

I've got an old set of Cambridge Soundworks 4.1 speakers plugged in to my Audigy 4 soundcard as I think I can more accurately judge where sounds are coming from in games than I could with a set of 5.1 speakers. (Which are now plugged into the PVR in the bedroom!)

I had a 5.1 set, but it gave out on me, so I use stereo speakers for now.

I use a pair of somewhat cheesey Jensens for "casual use". For hardcore stuff, I use a 5.1 headset with a mic. It's not perfect 5.1, but decent enough. My real speakers live on the HiFi in the living room: a pair of dynaudio monitors with a matched pair of isobaric loaded passive subs.

I'm pretty ghetto fabulous. I had a pioneer SS amp, 2 jbl tower speakers (with 8" woofers), and a pioneer surround speaker package (c, sl, sr). I then went from the sub out to another stereo amp and used it to push 2 10" jensen car subs in a bandpass box! It was a rumbling good time till the jensens blew. Had them for about 10 years. now I'm looking for better 10"s to put in that box

I'm actually about to swap my jbl's to the rear surrounds and use some older sharp monster tower speakers as FL and FR. they have 2 12's in them which I'm sure my SS amp will push poorly. So I'll still need the subs to fill out the low end. It should sound much better with all full size speakers (except for the center), however.

Now that I have big sound I need big picture! A projector will be my next purchase.
