  1. I used to capture home videos from my camcorder with good results. The "standard settings" in WinTV settings, Quality Level however never worked for me very good. I had made some costom settings with I had found on some website.
    Now my problem:
After reinstalling my computer I have lost these settings, can't find the website anymore and above all that, I'm not even able to do any custom settings because there is no more "advanced" button in WinTV Settings. If you don't understand what I mean take a look at the first screen shot on http://www.vcdhelp.com/wintvpvr.htm. The advanced button showing there is gone on my system. Any advise? I am using the latest Win 2000 drivers from hauppauge.com

  2. You have to patch the WinTV-PVR software..... it is available on the internet.... just cant remember where....
Once patched you will have your ADVANCED button back.... I'll see if I can find it

  3. Thanks kv5,
I found the patch. If somebody else need it:
    http://tangentsoft.net/video/mpeg/re...dlg-enable.reg
    It's just a registry entry.
Got my advanced button back now, but can anyone tell me some good settings to capture with? Somehow I think that I had changed the setting "Throttle" to get better quality, but I could be wrong though. I have no idea what Throttle means. It's set at 0x0080 right now. Any ideas?
