  1. My LG is finally giving out on me and I need to find a replacement. I have looked on a few websites but I was wondering if someone could recommend a good player for under $150 that meets these requirements:

    DVD, DVD+R/RW, +R DL
    plays mpeg4(divx/xvid)
    HD Upconvert(1080i)
    HDMI output
    Fiber digital audio output

Try doing a search in the DVD Players section.

I personally recommend the Oppo 971H, it is a bit more than you want to spend, but it is a highly rated player. I am very pleased with mine.

  3. I am getting Philips DVP5960 Sat Nov. 11 and I think it does all this things and at this point "very" compatible with all formats abooptical out .. I just spend 3 hours to reserch and find out basicly there is NO diffirence in coaxil or optical if you using your player with stand alone receiver like I will unless your receiver does not have coaxil in port.

    P.S.

I tryed DTS stream (Saving Private Rayan) on both .. VERY pleased with quality of coaxil on Sony SA-VE525 5.1 Speakers.
