disc won't finalize

Hello-
I have a polaroid 2001G and everything has been going well until last night. I recorded a movie directly to the disc but then it wouldn't finalize. I couldn't even get to that menu. And the disc won't play in the recorder. When I took it out it looks fine and as if the movie was burned okay. What went wrong??

I don't have this unit although I have been thinking about it. Could you have filled the disc so that there is no room left to finalize? I've seen that on some DVD recorders and other will always make sure to leave enough room to finalize.

Did you try seeing what windows or ISOBuster makes of your disc?

The movie was 2 hrs and 10 minutes. I had the setting at 2hrs 30 min so that looked okay. Also, I could see the burn marks were not all the way to the edge. I was wondering if a bad disc would have this behavior. I did another recording after this problem one and everything worked fine.

Could have just been a glitch, it happens sometimes. If this is the only time it has occured, I would just forget about it.
