You see I have this movie which is 1,36 GB but the thing is it has a only 2 channel sound...Not so good resolution 640x464 and yet it is 1,36 GB? It should of had atleast a 5.1 channel sound. So anyway i need to make it fit into a normal 700MB cd what should i do to change the file size? When I try to load it to virtual dub and save it ... it turns like 400 mb and get even worse resolution... Any ideas how to make the movie 700mb?
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

Use AutoGK, and set output size to 700 MB. But, quality will suffer.

Save yourself a lot of time and split to 2 discs using Virtualdub.

The desire to cram everything to the size of a single CD-R is often a very bad desire.
Do as steveryan says ... won't take long and the quality will not suffer.
CD-R discs cost what these days? ... 25 cents or so?

No thing is that i just dont see the point of that movie being on 2 Cd's and with just a 2 channel sound. When most of movies on 2 CD's are 5.1 channel sound and better resolution. Only movies on 1CD are with 2CH So I that's why im resizing it. I doubt it would get worse than this...

kschang ur right they are more expensive 35 cents. And I have like 50 of them and 50 dvd's. It's not the problem that i don't have CD's It is something which I have a lot to explain and dont feel like doing it.

Better to burn on 1 DVD than 2 CD's anyway. Only one disc and 1 DVDR should be cheaper than 2 CDR's.

You didn't say but if that movie is 2 hours long and it is has 192K audio, then the bitrate is somewhere around 1381Kbps. If you were to reencode to 690MB (1 cd) then the bitrate looks like 600Kbps. I've did a few 600Kbps Divx 2 pass encodes before that looked ok I guess.
I too think you will take a quality hit if the original is already mpep4. lol
Good luck. -
Well i reencoded it to 700MB...Don't see a big difference to be honest.
