version X r2 asks for binary install every restart

The app works fine, but no matter how many times I reinstall the binaries, every time I restart it wants to do it again.

Same to me! I had PBook G4 before and I never had problem with the app, now I got my new MacBook Pro and I try to install FFmpeg as usual but I get the same error as above.
Can anyone help me?

[Case]

Have a look in /Library/Application Support/ffmpegX/ (the admin library, not the user library). Look up (Cmd-I) the file sizes of mencoder (16,655,780 bytes), mplayer (15,869,784 bytes) and mpeg2enc (501,480 bytes).
If the sizes are different, you may have downloaded the wrong version of the binaries to go with ffmpegX 0.0.9x r2.
You could try the tbluewater dmg with the 3 binaries.
Also make sure ffmpegX is in your /Applications folder (not a subfolder with spaces or special characters, and not the user's Applications folder), and you must be logged in as Administrator to install the binaries.
