  1. Yes Youtube is for video but I have seen the odd prenstation with just still photos. This is what I want to do, and maybe add music in the background. I'm wondering what program I can use to do this and what file type it has to be saved as, to post it there.

    Microsoft Photostory does a good job of turning stills into a video, including effects, audio etc. Free download, easy to use. Get Papa John's encoder config to improve the quality, although if you are outputting for YouTube, quality isn't a concern. As to what they want - why don't you look at the youtube upload page for details. It's all there.

  3. You can do it with Nerovision too, if you have the complete Nero package.

    Smart Start->Photo&Video->Make Photo Slide Show (VCD, SVCD, DVD)
