Have an AVI which is 448x192 which I'm trying to convert to MPEG2 to burn to DVd.

No matter how I set the size or configure the other settings, the converted MPEG2 file is 4:3 in format, distorting the picture.

    What is missing?

  2. DVDs are always the same size (720x480 for NTSC or 720x576 for PAL). The difference with 16:9 DVD is that a special flag is enabled in the movie header, and the flag is later recognized by the player which will get the image back to the right size. To include such flag, you should set "DVD 16:9" in the autosize popup.

Pretty sure I tried that and it still came out 4:3 but I will try it again.

    Thanks.
