    My advise, don't install iTunes 7.0.0.70 until the bugs are worked out for windows.

    Went back and installed the lastest iTunes 6 that I had backed up and also installed the latest iPod Updater. What a mess, had to rebuild my library but I now have 5.1 audio working that's more important than any GUI and a few features that don't work 100% of the time update to iTunes.

    Have you tried the 7.0.1 update?

    Tried the update iTunes 7.0.1.8 appears to be working. I do have 5.1 audio. I won't hold my breath though. I did backup my iTunes 7.0.0.70 data before installing iTunes 6.x so I have all my libraries back, ratings, and playlists back. Thanks for letting me know about the update I had turned off the check for updates in iTunes after installing iTunes 6.x.
