    ok. scenario is I plan to take hdtv content off of my pvr and save it to my pc. should i use h264 or xvid 1080i codec? Now for the second question, what are my playback options besides lcd monitor? I'd like to send it to the 52" hdtv but i don't want to lose my main monitor. i have a 7800gtx dual dvi output. or should i get a settop media player that supports hdtv content like the dlink media lounge?
