  1. I have a tv/capture card that contains a tv/out plug as well as S-video. I new at this to take it easy on me. I want to send video out my tv/out plug but I can't find any software to help me activate the plug. The card came with WIN DVD 3 and a driver but nothing else. How do I get the video on my pc to play through the tv/out plug?

It'd be under video driver's options. Make sure you download the one specifically for your card, NOT the generic stuff by the chipset maker. THEN set desktop to 640x480, and see what happens.

    You're SURE it's a TV-out though?

    Oh dear ...

Please tell us exactly what kind of computer hardware you have because it sounds like you have a capture card with VIDEO INPUTS ... rarely do capture cards also have VIDEO OUTPUTS.

If you computer has a VIDEO OUTPUT it would most likely not be apart of the capture card but would be apart of your "video" or "graphics" card ... the one you use to send the signal to the computer monitor.

  4. Well - told you I was new - you are correct it was a video in plug - need to get the bi-focals fixed. So it seems I need a type of s-video output plug for my ATI x800 video card - any suggestions?

    Thanks for your help.

Any inexpensive s-video cable will do unless you need to run a long distance (25+ feet).

  6. According to the specs that is NOT a capture card, and the port is indeed a TV-Out port. Intended for use as an S-Video connection, docs mention inclusion of a "7-pin S-Video to Component adapter", which would be your ideal connection.

You may be identifying the DVI connector as a "Tv-out" plug?
