  1. Hi,

I have some TV episodes that are in .avi format. I found that it's easier to clean them up in Vdub and frameserve through MPEG Encoder, if I split them up first.

I was able to split up each episode into 10 different segments (no problem, using a good splitter out there).

Now, before I spend a lot of time processing/frameserving and then rejoining, can anyone recommend a good program that can check these files for errors before hand? That way I won't do a ton of work, only to find that my finsihed, joined file is botched up?

    Thanks!!!!
    Chris

I'm note sure why you find it easier to break them up to work on unless you need to do scene by scene fixes. Given that these are already colour matched etc well before you got them, most other filtering will be equal across the entire length. However, everybody works in their own way.

Virtualdub has a checking facility. In vdubmod it is under Video->Scan stream for bad frames

It will look for basic errors in the stream. However I don't know what you really expect to find.
