    Is there a gspot-like toot for .mkv and .mp4 containers? - to see what video/audio streams insdie, their bitrate, etc..

    Not sure about about mp4, but for mkv you can use Vdubmod, File>File Information.

    Thanks. Yes, but VDubmod has to parse a files for a long time. And it doesn't open all files. For example it doesn't open a .mkv files with x264 video and ogg audio created by mkvtools at all.
