    Hi all:

Bsplayer comes now with something called "When you save" with lots of ads.

My security tools reported it as a virus !!!

What are in your opinions the best substitutes to Bsplayer ??

Would like to have yr suggestions.

    tks.hilario.

    Hi baldrick and jeremiah:

KmPlayer as you can see on my other post here on "software playing" is not displaying the subs when playing VOB files.

Regarding gomplayer I've just downloaded and will test it.

    tks for yr sugestions

Besides that it's not as complete as BsPlayer or Kmplayer.

I think you need to open the video_ts folder or video_ts.ifo to be able to view subs in dvds...just vob files are not meant for playback.

    Tks baldrick:

Yr sugestion drove me to the solution.
The problem is how subs are converted.
With my old DVD's converted by DIKO I can see the subs. using Kmplayer.
I think the difference is with diko you can choose the function "permanent" subtitles, and that's not the case with AVI2DVD.(at least I dont see anything to change the way to insert subs. on AVI2DVD).

The problem now is that DIKO has only 1 encoder and some file cannot be converted
Well....I have to look for better solutions.

    Thank you guys.
    hilario.

Following the upper link for AVS DVD Player, I downloaded and installed it. Installation took unusually long time and beware that it will also install a trial version of AVS DVDtoGO without warning.

I've tried the player with a few divx and xvid files, but I haven't found a support for subtitles (srt, sub or alike).
