Converting diVx to DVD dubbles the Video length???

g`day all i know the title sounds alittle off but here is my problem..

i just recently upgraded my PC to to a Pentium D 2.66ghz x2
and now when i want to encode from divx,avi etc to DVD useing Tmpgenc Plus, and source Creator it dubbles the movie length why is this?.

the only thing that works is Tmpgenc Express witch i find that it is a little poor in quality and i prefer to use Tmpgenc Plus.

has anyone else experenced this issue?

i will give that a shot, but i have never had this problem, could it be the software because there is 2 CPU's?
if the running time of the vid is 1 hour and 10 mins and dubbles it to 2 hours 20mins and the only program that doesent dubble it is Tmpgenc express

It's quite common for conversion programs to have problems like that with VBR audio.

had no problems with these with one CPU? but i do with 2

Then disable one core and see if it makes any difference. Disable it in the BIOS or add /NUMPROC=1 to the OS line in BOOT.INI.

Drop it into Gspot 2.52. If you see MP3 VBR, then that's likely the problem as has been stated. You can save out the VBR as a WAV audio with VirtualDub, then convert it to CBR or other formats. TMPGEnc especially has problems with VBR audio. Or just try encoding the video with no audio. If it works, then the audio is the cause. I never use TMPGEnc to encode audio anyway. I use the WAV and run it through ffmpeggui and convert to AC3, then combine that with the video when authoring.

If no VBR, then there must be some settings that are incorrect with your encoder.

and found that it corrected it... gonna give ffmpeggui a try with the ac3
