Yesterday I connnected a camcorder using firewire and recored an hour worth of video with no problems at all.

Today when I tried with the same footage the recording stopped at about 32mins into the recording whilst the camcorder was still playing, I tried it again and it stopped about 26mins into it and I dont know why its happening?

Ive used the same brand dvd and made sure the auto chapter thing was off but still it keeps stopping, anyone know why?

This answer might seem odd, but...
Have you tried to connect the dvdrecorder directly to a wall outlet ?
Alternatively: Try to connect both the camcorder and the dvd-recorder each to its own directly connected wall outlet.

I have a dvd recorder which freezes if i connect it to a <beep - dont know the english word for it ), but if i connect it directly to a wall outlet, it works fine. ( this far..)
Just something to try out, at least

    Best regards
