  1. Using my camcorder to capture video in virtualdub of my tennis strokes and would like to compare them side by side with the pros. Any suggestions on a program that could do this?

    If you use Avisynth, you could use the Stack command to load two videos side by side and load the .avs script into VirtualDub.

    Avisynth will certainly do the job, but will require writing scripts and you'll have time your frames acordingly.

    If you'd rather do it visually, but don't want to spend money, Wax2 will do it easily enough. Import both clips and use the "Quick 3D" plugin to position the clips side by side. For best observations, it may help to slow down the footage to about 50% or less.

    open two v-dubs and have them side by side

    Open two of about anything. I often use two or more VLC at a time to compare picture quality etc.
