Think these are real Taiyo Yuden ?

I got these in a 5 pack plastic pack free with an order of DVD cases from shop4tech last year and just opened them.
They are branded as "Matrix - DVD-R 8X". Orange and black print on silver top.

They are fakes. Though I only use "real" TYs from Rima and supermediastore and even the above mentioned company, I have used their SONIC branded ink jet printable 8x media and I have nothing but good comments to say about it. My customers also love them. That being said, there is not substitute for real TY media.

Matrix? No. Fake.

The manu ID also gives it away as the real ones are labelled TYG02 (zero), not TYGO2 (letter "o").

Sorry the "letter-O instead of # 0" was my typo.

Like I said they've been laying around almost a year and I figured they were most likely fake.
I was a little curious as the HEX numbers are identical to the exact numbers and dots of my real TY.
I guess people that work with HEX would say "Easy to do".
