VOB2MPG - any way to split mpeg file as it is processing?

I downloaded and tried VOB2MPG v 2.3 yesterday. It did a good job of turning my DVD MASH episodes into mpeg.

However, I just ended up with 1 HUGE file. I was truly hoping that it would recognize that there were different episodes on the disk, much like Nero Recode does.

What I'm truly interested in doing is getting each episode into avi format, which RealProducer Plus can convert into the very compressed Realvideo format. Unfortunately, it can't work directly with mpeg 2 files. I wish Nero Recode could encode mpeg 2, instead of mpeg 4.

Anyway, anyone know of a way to have VOB2MPG encode each episode separately? Thanks!

use something like dvdshrink or ifoedit to extract the episodes to separate folders first, then run vob2mpg on them.
