Looking for a free mpg edit tool

I use Inter-Video's WinDVD Creator, but it has two problems:

1-Sometimes the audio gets out of sync.
2-When saving as mpg file, it only does so if the file is under 6xx meg. Otherwise, its creates three files, none of which are playable from the harddrive. So, I am looking for a better free tool.

Look to your left ( That way <- ). See the menu. Click on Tools. Find the section you need (hit: try Video Editors (mpg/dvd)), then look at the list of tools. Read the comments, look at the scores, download a couple to try.
