Version 12.06.18.15. Get it here .
As far as I can tell, the only change is the addition of Cyrillic Divx subs.

    I'm staying away, for now.

That version number seems quite a bit different from what the 5140/37 are shipping with.

EDIT: I'm a moron. The first number is the revision (12 or 37). That's what I get for posting while eating 8) Too many of my brain cells were occupied with the 'lift fork to mouth' process, apparantly.

    So it's 06.18.15 vs. 06.19.07.

Hmm.. I'm undecided if I'll try it.

Here's how my original version screen looked:

    VERSION: 12.06.18.12
    SUB-VER: 00.00.06.05
    8032: 05.00.04.02
    SERVO: A8.58.30.00
    RISC: 05.00.04.02
    DSP: 03.02.02.54
    REGION: 2

This is after the upgrade (changes are underlined):

    VERSION: 12.06.18.15
    SUB-VER: 00.00.06.06
    8032: 05.00.04.02
    SERVO: A8.58.30.00
    RISC: 05.00.04.02
    DSP: 03.02.02.54
    REGION: 2

    @ ytsejam & ntngod:
If I were you I will stay clear of this one, at least till you know more about it. You will gain Cyrillic subs which you probably don't need but for one thing, you will loose the closed caption option (which 12 models don't have) and you will have to hack the region.

So the update changes the /12's SUB-VER to what the /37 already ships with....

Actually, considering the North American model is a presumably a couple of months newer than the overseas version (since we just started getting it here), that would make some sense that the North American stock firmware would be newer (if that is indeed the case). Philips had more time to slap a newer firmware in there.

    Version 17 (12.06.18.17) is out.
    download here .

BTW, I've had problems burning a working CD for flashing, until I renamed the original binary to "DVP5140_12.BIN" (without quotes). I might be wrong but I think the drive didn't like the space and/or the lower case extension in the original file name.
