    I have a 5 min movie montage in swf format that I want to work on in VEGAS

    Opening it in VEGAS goes ok until I drag it to the timeline, afterwhich, the audio does not appear on the timeline

    Video is fine, but no audio

    you could extract the audio to wav with something else and use it as the audio source in vegas. google for "swf to wav".
