    Observe on the picture above. Little small tetris like boxes appear on some of my movies. Unmatching the colors of the picture and way off. What kind of codec do I need in order to improve the quality of my movies. I can assure you its not the videos themselves.

    GSpot and http://forum.videohelp.com/viewtopic.php?t=271697 will assist you in uploading a detailed snapshot of the codec used.

    Looks very much like errors in the video. Could be a captured digital TV signal (errors already present when recorded). No codec will fix this kind of problems.
