How to download mpeg2enc in binary or convert to binary on Mac OS X

I have tried numerous times to download the mpeg2enc file in binary but it constantly downloads in text. I have tried using Control-click on the various links with no luck. When I use Control-Click i do not get the download to disk option but only download link.Can someone help me find a binary source or advice for how to download it or email it to me. Also I am just starting out in conversion to Archos format so I could use some advice in that regard.

Sounds like Safari being stubborn. Firefox doesn't add the '.txt' suffix.

The Safari downloaded file is fine, tho', if you remove the '.txt' in the Finder Get Info's Name & Extension field. (HexEdit's Compare Files command shows the files by two browsers to be binary exactly the same.)

If the developer could put the old 'mpeg2enc' file and the new 'mpeg2enc.intel' file in a zip or dmg container, that would help end users, imho.
