Yes - I wasn't very clear. I was referring to TY DVD+R 16x (YUDEN00..T03) media which has not been available in the US until now.

Unfortunately it's the shiny silver topped discs. I hope it won't be too long before the inkjet printables are available here.

The shiny silver discs are the only ones I buy....every bad burn I've had on otherwise "quality" media has been on printables.

I haven't had any problems with Verbatim DataLifePlus hub printable media (MCC004) or Maxell "Print to Center" 8x DVD-R (MXLRG03). The Verbatim printable that has been not quite as good was the non-hub printable retail discs, but they weren't exactly coaster material, just didn't burn well at their rated 16x speed.

Some of the photo of the printable Hub area are grey in color. Is this normal ? Is this still printable ? What printer do you use to print ?

Hey Hech, I remember saying you had problem getting your TY's, so where d'you get them from eventually, Germany or UK ? I got those white ceramic faced TYG02's "Thats" brand from that place in Athens eventually. Real beautiful discs, great burns, great top writing surface, and of course a great price. Am well pleased with them. Every time I know someone is going to Athens I try and persuade them to get me some. Maybe you should do the same.

    25.00 U.S for a 50 pc of Yuden? Thanks, but I'll stick to Verbatim 16x. I picked up a +R 25 pc tonight for $10.00 CAN. :P

Actually I'm still working on my old batch of TY 8x -R shiny silvers that I brought back from America with me...
I use them for archiving and "masters" to use the term loosely. I've got about 25 left out of 100.
Back when Ritek's were trustworthy for the most part...the only Ritek coasters I ever had were printables...and I've never "printed" a printable in my life so I stopped buying any printables.
I still use Ridata 8x +R's very often and have had fantastic success with them but once those are gone I'll be stuck again.
Yep...that place in Athens looked pretty good. Next time I go to Berlin I'll look for some TY's....I doubt I or anybody I know will be in Anthens soon....
