    A friend gave me a few movies in ts format from his HDTV PVR. Is there a way to convert these ts files to an DVD compliant Mpeg or Windows Avi...???

    hdtv2dvd and autogk for ts to avi/divx/xvid or hdtvtompeg2 and use any converter that supports mpeg2.
