Are you working on the site again? This past week I find myself logged out a lot, even though I have selected the "always login" option.

    Nothing changed on my browsers.

Random log-outs here too, no biggie, still a pretty good site all in all.

i want to fix the bug...but it's tricky when it works here. are you using ie? what privacy settings?

and aol proxy might cause some problems if you get new ips all the time.

Good to see I'm not alone. Well, for me anyway.

I saw it as of mid last week. Prior to that, I was away for 2 weeks with no much net connection. So what is that? 10 days or so? That sounds like it coincides with your update.

Latest Firefox, and then IE6 (SP1 XP Pro)

Oh just guessing Tuesday and Wednesday, maybe before or after by a day. Maybe five times in total. Once one day, three the next and once after that, maybe. (sorry, didn't think to take better notice)

    IE6

AOL gets alot of the blame I am sure, but my surfing habits aren't all that good either. (I close windows not in use all of the time and then decide to go back) I got dropped a couple of times this week too, that doesn't happen too often but it could be anything from bad lines to high traffic or ghost in the machine. (My PC has been dead for a couple of years, it just doesn't know it yet)

Actually VH is the only forum that gets me my topic repy notifications, go figure.

I haven't messed with any settings and it has been working good past couple of days. Probablly a hiccup on my side.

I've noticed it too. Sometimes when I'm using one computer and then when I try with the other, I got to log back in.

I take it you are messing with the cookies Baldrick? Because just as I read this thread and thought "I've never had a cookie problem like this" I clicked back and got a strange cookie error.

I had the same problem a few minutes ago. It would not accept my log in. Noticed that the post times were off also. Deleted the VH cookies from IE and all is well now.

it should be enough to go to the main page, www.videohelp.com , to remove old forum cookies.

this has been happenning to me quite a bit lately, but I just spent 10 minutes trying to log in!
I always choose 'keep me logged in', but for the past 10 minutes, each time I try to log in, it just takes me right back to the same page asking me to log in -- an (seemingly) endless loop.
came and looked at this thread and tried all the 'tips' none made a difference.

Did you change something? Because before you had to visit the mainpage for the cookies to get deleted. I know a whole lot of people bypass the main page so maybe thats part of it?

I've had a few "funky" goings-on over the last week or so too. just tonight I had 5 windows open, opened a 6th, clicked "reply", and got asked to log in. On other occasions I've just followed a link from my email to a thread and had to log in, despite having the "log me in automatically" always checked. That's happened 3 or 4 times now. Every time I've deleted all cookies and temp internet files, and I've visited the frontpage at least 50 times this week.
    If in doubt, Google it.
