LG 418 - Does it upconvert through component outputs

I cannot get a clear response to this question. Does this player (with a proper macrovision hack) upconverts copy-protected dvds OVER THE COMPONENT output? I understand that it does, with unprotected dvds. What I want to know is, whether it is like the old Liteon LVD2001 in that it upconverts through components irrespective of whether dvd is copy-protected or not. Or it only upconverts these through HDMI and automatically downres to 480p through components? Thanks[/b]

Had a LG418 mfg date Oct 2004 that would upscale any DVD over component outputs (no hack).
