I hope this is the right forum. I'd like to thank everyone, in advance, for any help.

I hear static through my speakers when playing videos in Windows Media Player (WMP) version 10 and Real Player version 10. However, the videos play perfectly in VLC Media Player. I hear the static, in WMP even if the mute button is on. If I turn the mute button off and try to listen to the song, the static only goes away if I minimize WMP. Does anybody have any suggestions?

I've tried everything that I could think of and I couldn't figure it out. I guess nobody else had a clue either, so I just deleted the problem files.
