Burner stops responding

Well this is not the first time its happened, what happens is that sometimes it would be stuck at a certain percent when burning and when I press cancel, it would pretty much wait at the "cancelling bar" forever, I gave it 5-10 mins and it was still doing it so I ctrl alt del and closed the burning app as well as imagi.exe and its STILL burning, well I'm not sure if it still is or not but the tray isn't ejectable and the burning light is still on when no program is using it. Idea ?

I have this occur every now and then. I normally turn the PC wait a few minutes then turn the PC back on. A your PC is booting eject the DVD, it will probably be a coaster. I get this after burning alot of DVD's back to back. Good Luck..

In most cases anytime you have a situation where you've manually cancelled the burning process the tray will not open as the laser is not off. It has stopped burning yet the laser is still on. It's a safety feature built into the device. You will be able to resume normal burning operations in most cases by simply restarting the system. Once the system begins the rebooting process you should be able to open the tray and remove your new coaster.

My new coaster ha I like that, I think I figured it out, my nero doesn't support the characters in the file name so it just keeps going and going but can't read it.
