I'm trying to convert a foreign movie to compliant DVD but whenever I drag'n drop the .avi file into TMPGEnc Plus 2.5 project wizard it only loads the audio stream and not the video stream. This happens when the .sub file is in the same directory as the the video, but I remember converting videos with seperate sub files(.sub, .srt) in the past without problems so I don't know what makes this case so special.

If I drag the .sub file somewhere else with just the video file in the folder TMPGEnc will load the video and audio stream, but once I put the .sub file back in the folder along with the video TMPGEnc will not load the video stream. Does anyone know what's going on and how to solve this problem? I really want to watch this movie on my TV instead of my tiny computer screen. How do I get DirectVobSub to load with TMPGEnc?

Maybe try forcing dvobsub to RGB output.

    You may try the following:
    - Make sure vobsub still work with windows media player for the video file you are converting.
    - In tmpgenc, under Options/Environment setting/vfapi plug-in, change priority for directshow reader to 1. If it doesn't work, change it back to what it was.
    - Completely uninstall vobsub, delete registry key hkey_current_user\software\gabest\vsfilter, reinstall vobsub.

Nm, I found out what the cause of the problem was. Newer versions of VSFilter/DirectVobSub(2.37) doesn't work with TMPGEnc. Once I use a an older version of VSFilter(2.33) the subs load again. Thank for your suggestions anyway.

Btw, in the future I don't recommend reinstall as first advice, because 80% of all software problems aren't solved with a reinstall.

You are right. I am using an older version(v2.24). The latest version 2.37 does not work.
