i used dvd decrypter to rip the movie and videora to convert it but when i watch it on my ipod the video is stretched out to fullsceen when the original i started off with was widescreen? other than that, the prog works perfect. is there a setting i missed????

all those views and no replies. thats fantastic. i dont suppose anyone would have any suggestions on what progs they use???

Isn't it just to convert it correct aspect ratio by changing the resolution? check the back of the dvd for 4:3,1:85 or 2.35:1.

From the videora ipod faq:
Some suggested starting settings (all settings are for MPEG-4):
iPod only 4:3 (TV) -> 768kbps/320x240
iPod only 16:9 (HDTV, pre-cropped movies), cropped movie at 1.85:1-> 576kbps/320x176
iPod only 2.35:1 (cropped movie) -> 464kbps/320x144

or for 2:35:1 movies you should probably also use same settings as 16:9/1.85...if you are not cropping the dvd before converting.
