    I just upgraded my firmware on my Panasonic HS2 to make it more compatible with the newer DVD-R's. Now it will not read ANY type of DVD-R media. It will not read ones that I burned with the recorder or ones that it read prior to the upgrade. It will only read store bought DVD movies. Panasonics answer was to take it to the repair shop and pay for a fix. I've searched everywhere for answers with no luck.
