It may be mislabeled. .XTM doesn't appear to be a video file extension. Try dropping it into Gspot. It can sometimes read a file with the wrong extension. What kind of file is it supposed to be?

Gspot should just work as drag and drop. Have you went into 'Tools>Folder Options>View' and unchecked 'Hide extensions for known file types'? Otherwise you may not be seeing the extension name properly.

After that if you really think they are AVIs, try changing one of the extensions to .avi instead of .xtm and see if you can play them.

Could be they just added some BS extension to trick the system that don't allow AVI's. Take out the XTM extension, then use WINRAR to put the different pieces back together, and you'll probably get an AVI.

Those are numbered a little strange for RAR. This from a RAR page:
They may have extensions .rar (the first volume), .r00, .r01, ..., or .part1.rar (the first volume), .part2.rar, ..., etc
You may have to rename them to a standard RAR format for your RAR program to recognize them.

Or you might take one of them and copy it, then rename the copy to filename.avi and see if that works.

And the final thought is those are bogus files, just designed to waste your time. I've see that a few times on the net.

Another possibility... Try 7-Zip. A multipart file would show up like that. I did one just the other day and it came out as originalname.ext.001, 002, and so on.

I think you may have got it, BJ_M.

whiteshoes, if your French isn't too good, a way I translate is to put that website into Google, hit search and it will give you the option to translate it. Probably a better way, but it works good enough.
