This is a question about Microsoft Visual Basic .NET Standard 2003. My school lets people borrow this program and whenever I try to install it I get an error. The error reads "Error 1402. Could not open key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Classes\ACLFile\Defaul tIcon. Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel." I am the admin of my computer. When I go to this part of the registry the only thing there is called (Default) and the path leads to "C:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\MICROS~1\Office10\MSOICONS.E XE,6". When I go there I see MSOICONS.exe but don't know what the ,6 means in the error.
Sorry for the long explantion but I really want to know how to fix this.

This is just a general question, but do you have the .NET run times installed on your machine?
If you want VS2005 Express, it's free (until November 6, 2006) and it uses the new and improved .NET 2.0! It will take a little time to download, or do it at your school and burn an install CD for later.
The ",6" in the error refers to the sixth icon in the file MSOICONS.EXE that is your default icon.
