    Any DVD-R sales ths week?

I forgot to get the Sunday paper.

I know BEST BUY had Verbatim 16x DVD-R on sale through the 28th but I didn't get there on Saturday (the 28th) as I had hoped.

Looking for retail sales not on-line I need some DVD-R discs ASAP.

I was in Staples earlier today and picked up some 25 packs of HP lightscribe DVD-Rs for under $20. All HP media was on sale as well. I have to install a couple lightscribes later this week so I needed some test media.

I was just at the BEST BUY website and they have 25 packs of Verbatim 4x "DigitalMovie" DVD-R discs for only $7.99 but I don't know if these are as good as the newer Verbatim 16x DVD-R discs?

Here is a link to the Verbatim's that are on sale ---> CLICK HERE

Here is a picture of the packaging:

    Are these discs any good?

  4. try circuit city for TDK 25 pk @ 6.99

try best buy for memorex 50 pk @ 14.99

    or

try office max for verbatim 50 pk @ 14.99

but one thing to keep in mind, all these places have websites so you can always look for their prices without buying a sunday paper.

I got a pack of those early last year from walmart. They worked fine. Just be aware that they are 4x discs. It's been so long since I've burned 4x I forget how long it takes but I know it's considerably longer than 16x. I think mine were MIT's.

    Thanks for the tip.

I checked the OfficeMax website and sure enough they have the Verbatim 16x DVD-R discs on sale this week for only $13.99

These I know are A-Grade media so I'll probably go buy these.

Here is a picture of the package:

Maybe the 4x Verbatim's are just as good I don't know but the 50 pack is slighter cheaper per disc anyways.

I've used these before and they worked great. In fact, I had/have only 2 complaints about them:
    1. They were/are only 4X.
    2. Not much room on there to write what's on them with a Sharpie
