Hi ! I've got a question which might be simple for some of you and which apparently has not been asked yet.
When you have a DMR E95H or DMR-E85 (i don't know which one exactly, it's for a friend) you can make DVD using the menu sample(s) which is(are) incorporated in the DVD Recorder. But how can you make your own ? Do you just need to take the Hard Drive out in order to plug it in your computer to change of few .gif, .jpg or else files ?
Thanks in advance for your answers !

  2. After you finalize your dvd you can edit those files & put on a new menu if you want. Is that what you are asking? You can import Panasonic files to your hd too, just write to a disk & put it in your computer.

    The panasonic menus look nice.

I doubt there is anything on the HDD (GIF , MPEG files) that you can change to have customed menu.
This unit allows to put in a brand new HDD (from Frys for example), format it and it just works as with the HDD shipped with the unit.
This says that there is no software or data on the HDD that the unit relies on to operate. And this is a very nice feature.
I agree with handyman, if you want to customize the menu, simply burn a DVD-R and then copy it to the computer and re-author with some authoring software.
